Thunderbird Mail Message Navigation
Folks:
How can I change my navigation such that I can read ALL the messages in a folder, via space bar or PgDn, instead of continually being asked if I want to go to the next unread message in folder xyz? And when I return to the folder list, is there a way to return to the current message, or have it otherwise indicated? It seems I always have to start over in the message list. I'm using XPSP2, Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 TIA Lance |

Look at the Go > Previous and Go > Next to know what shortcut key TB uses to navigate in your version . Also set value of this pref according to your requirement . mailnews.nav_crosses_folders at Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Config Editor . "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mailnews.nav_crosses_folders" > And when I return to the folder list, is there a way to return to the > current message, or have it otherwise indicated? Also if this pref mailnews.scroll_to_new_message is set to True then it will get higher priority than previous one . |

On the original message, there is not a "reply-to". Shouldn't there be? Am I missing a setting somewhere? I think this just started happening recently, as I sometimes get group messages directly addressed to me, instead of the group. |

I also get the Firefox support group messages the same way. FF messages have Reply-To in the headers. TB messages don't. Is that by design, or have I missed a setting somewhere? LanceH |

FF messages > have Reply-To in the headers. TB messages don't. Is it 'Reply-To' or 'In-Reply-To' header ? 'Reply-To' headers appears in your message only if you you have specified any Reply-To address in the settings of account , you are using to post messages . 'In-Reply-To' header automatically included in headers when you reply to any message . > just started happening recently, as I sometimes get group messages directly addressed to me, instead of the group. May be it just because of some mailing lists settings . You should contact with mailing list owner about this problem at this address "support-thunderbird-owner@lists.mozilla.org" |

It was indeed a change in the mailing lists settings. A PITA, I think but that's the way it is! LanceH |
