Deleted email from Inbox doesn't leave screen

Sometimes (I haven't been able to detect a pattern) when I click the
Delete button after reading an email, nothing seems to happen. The
email remains on the screen. But if I close the window, I find that it
was, in fact, deleted from the inbox. This has happened to me a few
times in the past, but it just happened twice in a row, so it seems to
be getting worse. Any idea what might cause that?

This has been how Tb works. The message your were reading and deleted
is in the dispaly memory. It gets replaced by the next message you
select, or if You pick from the Go menu > Mail Start Page. It is not a
bug.

Well, you know the program a lot better than I do, Ron, but I've been
using it for years, and that's not how mine normally works. Normally, I
click "delete", that email disappears, and the next one in my Inbox
appears on the screen. The reason I mentioned it here is that having
the deleted email remain on the screen after being deleted is such a
rare occurance. So, you're saying the way TBird has been behaving all
along (which I like) is wrong, and these rare cases of the email staying
on the screen are examples of the program occasionally working properly?
