Filtering for tags
I have been unable to find an understandable answer to this question.
RSS feeds - I have the option within RSS filters to test for Tags. Options include IS, ISN'T, CONTAINS, and others. How do I test for tags? I have tried, for example, Tag ISN'T Personal Tag ISN'T 3 Tag CONTAINS Personal What is the proper syntax? BONUS: I have found reference to a UserChrome.css file. I have done a search if Vista but came up empty. Should I have such a file? |

You can assign a message tag in a filter action, but which tag are you filtering on? -- Kind regards, Melchert (MacOS 10.3.9 / Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 2.0) |

Select a New Rule Under 'For incoming messages that: Match any of the following,' I select the 1st (left) dropdown menu and select 'Tag.' In the 2nd (center) dropdown menu I select 'Contains.' In the 3rd (right) dropdown - what do I put in there? |

It entirely depends on what you meant by 'to test for Tags' . Do you want to do something depending on the presence of a particular tag in RSS post ? |

Using an 'If . . then' instead of a filter, something similar to "If a post is tagged IMPORTANT, move to folder x. I presume the 'Tag' option in the leftmost dropdown box means I can test for the presence of a particular tag. |

And a bonus question . . . In TB I have the PRIORITY column showing in every RSS feed. I have created a filter changing some posts to HIGHEST priority. In one sense, the filter works. If I create a second rule and move all HIGHEST priority posts to another folder, the rule works perfectly. In another, it doesn't work. I expected to see 'HIGHEST' in the Priority column beside the appropriate posts. I do not. Nothing shows in the Priority column. I can set the filter to flag ALL posts as either HIGHEST or NORMAL. Still I get no indication in the Priority column. That is, UNLESS I also set a flag. In this case, all posts that match the filter show as HIGHEST in the Priority column and show the proper tag in the 'Tag' column. Is there a way to get the priority to appear in the 'Priority' column WITHOUT setting a tag? |

In the filter list , is 'set priority' filter listed before 'move to' filter ? Otherwise 'set priority' filter will never work . Btw , I have just tested with a filter like this Subject - Doesn't contain - aasdasasd Set Priority to - Highest An it works fine . |
