so i want to monitor multiple servers' HD's with an application which
will only work if the megasr driver is installed and will not work if
centos' 5.1 own ahci driver is in place. I can't reinstall the os from
scratch but I'm looking for a way to upgrade the ahci to megasr.ko driver
which is available from intel's website. I've tried the instructions from
intel but they don't work, the application still doesn't see the raid. It
seems that I need to, somehow, create a new module from the megasr.ko
file and then have it load at startup time. If anyone would kindly give
me some pointers on at least where i should start researching this
subject I would be very grateful.
