Hello,

I am just trying Debian Lenny-Beta2 and testing currently different
applications I like to use.

I discovered in xchat that the status in the userlist is not changed if a
user has been set his status to "away". Usually these users appear in a
light grey colour (screenshots can be supply if necessary).

I have seen that problem already in other distributions: in ubuntu (gnome
desktop) at appears correct, in kubuntu (kde desktop) I have seen the same
problem.

In Debian Etch it is also correct, it seems that the problem is new to
Debian Lenny.

I am not sure if it is a xchat or a Debian problem, does anyone know the
reason for it, and how to solve it?

It is working just fine here on lenny for me (xchat 2.8.4-2+b1). If you
are sure it is an issue in xchat shipped by debian you should probably
fill an bug report against xchat (using reportbug - aptitude install
reportbug - is an easy way to do so)

I am still not sure if it is a debian or xchat problem, thats why I ask
here first.

I will report then the problem to debian, as suggested.
