TAB extension on commandline as root
Hello,
in Debian as a normal user, I can use the TAB extension on command line to expand a parameter, i.e. if I type "man mce" it completes the command to "man mcedit". Or a dpkg-reconfigure <TAB> shows me the possible parameters. If I try the same as root on the command line, the TAB extension on parameter does not work. If I try the same with Sidux (a distribution based on the sid of Debian), it works for both users. I think there is a difference in the bash environment between a normal user and root. Does anyone know how to solve it? Would be helpful for a new user like me to see the valid parameters on dpkg-reconfigure or other commands.
