Which RPM do I need for nfslock in Mandriva 2008.1? In 2007.1
it was in nfs-utils-clients but it isn't in 2008.1

According to urpmf, nfslock is not in any rpm package. From
http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howto/ar01s07.html it appears the
locking is now handled by nfsd, itself.

Looks like you are right.

rpcinfo -p localhost

shows lockmgr on a port, even though

ps -ef

shows no separate lock process.
