Feel free to use it yourself.) Greetings Dave, Have been to http://oozie.fm.interia.pl/pro/huawei-e220/ but so far no good as it covers kernel 2.6.20 and I am using 2.6.24. Open a terminal program, such as konsole. Type in "su -l root", and press enter. Enter the root's password, when prompted. Run "urpmi mc", to install a fairly user friendly commandline text editor. Run "mc -v /var/log/syslog", to see what's in the log. If it really is empty, post back, and we'll figure out why. Plug in the usb modem. Exit (press f10) mc, and run it again, press the end key, to scroll down to the bottom of the log. Copy & paste the usb output in a post here.
