When I get email that contains a jpeg image
and I click on it , it opens in showFoto.
I would like it to open with Gwenview.
I checkmarked the little box that says
"remember app. association for this type of file".
while in gwenview but showfoto keeps opening up.
Any idea's why ???

I don't have an idea why.

I use mutt for email, and I haven't bothered to use mailcap yet. I
save .jpg image files to a particular directory (I have noticed that
Yahoo Mail calls it save to disk), then I use Konqueror as a file
browser to manipulate the files. I right-click to select
Open With -> Gwenview.

You could try right-clicking earlier in the process. Dunno how
successful that would be.

Move Gwenview to the top of the list of apps.
