Slackware 12.1.
I use mpg123 OK, next day I try to use it again, no joy, so I reinstall
it, works until next time. Any ideas

What would change them from one day to the next?. I was wondering if there
is a conflict between mpg123 and another music program.

I've seen it happen on rare occasions, if I happen to use 'play' then try
use mpg123, it doesnt always happen though, so it's still rather a mystery,
it might happen 1/300 times, hardware is an Intel DG865 board with onboard
sound, so its geting on in age and may be in part or full, responsible.
