Just installed 11.0 so far I'm liking it !

was out of Linus for about a year after a Windows XP reinstall reset the
boot loader.I was running 10.1, skipped over 10.2 & 10.3. I heard some
nice things about 11.0 so I took the plunge over the long weekend.

I had fewer problems with the install, when right in with no problems. I
couldn't find the exact HP printer model in hardware set up, but the
model just under mine (same printer, no network interface) so I picked
it and it worked. My wife's HP 4 in 1 was a challenge but I read the
info on the HP site, downloaded the latest hplip and now I have that
working on the network too. (I wish that the HP windows software worked
as well !).

I like the part where it will automatically configure additional repo's,
that made setting up my Nvidia card and getting MP# support a breeze
(not like 10.1),

So far this is a keeper !

Everybody is running 2 gig of ram or better and half a terabyte
harddrive or better. What did they save by hacking the printer database
and making you jump through hoops?

You running KDE4 with desktop effects?

Nope

Athlon XP2700+, 512MB ram, Installed on a 80 MB Western Digital HD.
Nvidia 5200 Ultra Video, SB Audiology Sound. Running KDE 3.5, cause I
heard about the problems with 4.0. Most HP printers run PCL 5, so a
close match is good enough.

I have just come from Debian. My only problem with suse 11.0 is that
because I have a Dell desktop Dimension C521 when installing any distro
the switches 'apci=off and noapic nolapic ' have to be used. With Debian
after installation everything works but with suse the switches have to be
used every time I start the computer. It is annoying.

You can add these to grub so you do not have to enter them all the time.
edit /boot/grub/menu.lst or go via YaST to edit it.

No problem and thanks for the feedback.

Personally, I think most sports fans are a little "gay". They'd
rather watch a bunch of sweaty guys jumping all over eachother,
than, say fashion TV - where hot models walk down the runway.

Nope. I have 11.0 with KDE3.5 installed on my desktop machine, 750MHz
Athlon, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD. (Although I usually use my Macbook which is on
10.3)

I have 11.0 installed on a laptop with 512K memory (but higher
speed.)
