Update on openSUSE 11.0 installation

After considering several options offered by my colleagues on this
group, I realized that there was another alternative to install 11.0
On my hard disks, taking up dead space were a couple of older editions
of openSUSE. Why not try an update overwriting some obsolete
material? I chose openSUSE 10.2 for my victim, and the update went
very smoothly as far as I can determine.

After adding some new suppositories to the updater, it shows some new
updates are available. I shall try out the updater now to see how it
compares to the old one.

Like the chap that went to his doctor complaining of constipation, his
doctor gave him a prescription for some capsules and told him to put one up
his back passage before going to bed and come back and see him in a weeks
time.
The week went by and the chap went back to his doctor, "well" his doctor
asked "did the capsules work?" "no they did not" replied the chap " for all
the good they did I might as well have shoved them up my arse"!!
Tdp..
