I downloaded SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10. Installed it on a Quad
Core computer, and it fails to install. When I installed it on a Dual
Core computer, it begins the installation process. But then, it says
that the medium is not found. What am I doing wrong? Does the SLED
10 work with Quad Core and Dual Core systems?

What SUSE do I need to download to make it work with a Quad Core and a
Dual Core computer? Thanks.

broken install DVD?
check first the dvd (or cd) before installation
maby it's bad burned on DVD (cd) ;-)

it work with the 32 bits version or 64 bits version.

Try openSUSE 11.0
Novells SLED is more for Business people IMO

With openSUSE you get 2 years of upgrades/updates for free
with Novell SLED you get the first 60 days for free after
that you have to pay.

Did you download the newest version with service pack SP2? SP1 is too
old for the most recent mainboards.

Most likely the answer is yes. Your problems might be related to a buggy
BIOS and/or a non-supported chipset. Get the latest BIOS first and then
try to boot the installation system with options like acpi=off.

Try noacip nolacip as the boot switch on installation.
