Wake On Lan from ACPI state G3?
I've been beating my head against the wall for a couple days now with
Wake-On-Lan. I can get it to work if the target PC is in ACPI states G1 or G2, but not G3. From what I've been able to find on the 'net, I'm not even sure this is possible. Is it possible to use Wake-On-Lan to boot a computer from ACPI state G3, i.e., when power is first applied to the PC but prior to the first boot? If this is possible, is it hardware dependent? If this isn't possible, is there an alternate way of remotely booting a PC from ACPI state G3? TIA |
