Security notification
Hi I am running XP Pro with all the updates and patches. I have recently bought a Creative ZenV MP3 player and installed the software yesterday, but it has caused a problem. I won't go into all the details of the issues with the player at the moment, but if can do if required. In a nutshell, I had problems with Windows detecting the player even with the software loaded, so I rebooted the PC. After Windows had started, I had notification from the Windows Security Center that there was no firewall running. I have ZoneAlarm running on my PC and the icon for ZA was still in the Sys tray. It appeared that this software or the attaching of this player had caused a problem in this area. I reinstalled ZA to be sure and restarted the PC again. This firewall notification still appeared, so I uninstalled the ZenV software and restarted again with the same result. I can disable this firewall notification, but that would only hide that fact that there is a problem and not cure it. Is there a way to fix this firewall detection problem ? Any help would be appreciated. -- garyevs |
