Hi,

Has anyone seen the XP sign-on page start displaying that of previous
Windows? Instead of having two icons (2-user accounts) on the first screen
after booting, I now have a Windows dialog window where I have to type
(rather than clicking my name) my account name; I then click OK. It looks
like Windows for Workgroups and the older Microsoft Windows.

Any idea of what has happened?

In future please choose one appropriate newsgroup and post there.

Open the Help and Support Center by pressing F1. In the Search box type:
welcome screen. Read this article: Turn the Welcome screen on or off.

By the way, the user interface on my computer has the file GTGina DLL in the
registry. This file makes the user interface locked at "clasic" logon, and
I can no longer change back. Two option buttons in Control Panel are
"grayed" out.

Also, the registry key below was added to my computer thru a Linksys
Wireless-N USB adapter (WUSB300N) that I installed recently. I found a few
links on the Internet that say GTGina.dll was developed by a third party,
in corroboration with Cisco/Linksys corporation.
