Hi .. definitely not a change I made (it happened over night) but:
1. the font that shows when you put the cursor over the icons in the system
tray is now very large, and
2. on the bar at the top of pages & the maximize, minimize, close icons
(word, IE7 …..) are half the size they use to be

Anyone know where I’d find the settings to change these?

Well... for #1:

Right-click desktop -> Properties -> Appearance Tab ->
Advanced -> Select "Tool Tip" in "Item" window ->
Change Font, Size, and Color to your liking.
