Thanks for the suggestion - it worked but now I have another problem which I
will post in this discussion group in case you aren't checking in tonight. The only way I can open an Excel file is from within the Application itself. A blank Excel application screen opens, not the file itself when I click on it. From Tools>Options>General> I have tried *uncheck* and *checked* "Ignore oOther Applications". "Mark L. I had exactly that problem with Excel (it opens but then Windows 'cannot
find the file' that you clicked: utterly stupid!!) but it has gone away with no specific action on my part, but possibly after a recent update to Office. (Office 2003 by the way.)
