I searched the hard drive and found nothing. I scanned w/Norton and all was
ok. If it's malware how can I get rid of it? "Elmo" wrote: > dusty boots wrote: > > When shutting down Windows there is a box that says "ccSvsHst not responding". > > How do I fix this? RE: Shut down error message
Hey dusty,
I've had the same problem. I found two different CCSvcHst files in my Task Manager and I figured something was up. I searched for the file in Windows and they key is that you have to go to "advanced options" and choose "search in hidden files and folders." In addition to the Norton file, I found a second file in Windows/Prefetch. I deleted this file (which was probably malware) and the problem's gone. Hope this works for you!
