For information about how to back up, restore, and edit the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 256986 (http://www.kbAlertz.com/Feedback.asp...=256986/EN-US/) Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry SYMPTOMS When you attempt to run the Internet Connection Wizard on a non-networked computer, you can receive the following error message: You are restricted from running the Internet Connection Wizard. Contact your Network Administrator for more information. This error message is displayed even if you are logged on using the local Administrator account. Also, when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 for Windows 98, the Setup button at the top of the Connections tab in Internet Options may be disabled. CAUSE This behavior can occur if your installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer is modified using the Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) to disable the Internet Connection Wizard functionality. RESOLUTION WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
