1) Remove Office XP from Add/Remove Programs

You will also need to remove Microsoft Office XP Disk 2 and Microsoft Office XP Media Content. The exact names listed will be dependant on the version installed.
Example: PRO and SBE.

2) Remove the Microsoft Office folder from c:\Program Files

3) Delete the Office registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\

If the Uninstall through Add/Remove Programs doesn’t work properly or give you and error then you can manually uninstall Office XP by skipping the first step. To remove the entry in Add/Remove Programs You will need to remove it from the uninstall key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr ent Version\Uninstall

Under the uninstall folder go through the serial number like folders and find the folder who’s display name is the Microsoft Office package that is installed on the system. There will be separate folders for disk 2 and for the media content.
