Publishing 2001 Platinum Microsoft Picture It! Publishing 2001 Silver Microsoft Greetings 2001 Microsoft Money 2001 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS When closing any of the products listed at the beginning of this article, an illegal operation message may appear. If you click Details, the following additional message appears: PIP caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll. CAUSE This behavior may occur if you are running Norton Antivirus 2001 software, and installed the latest update (dated March 6, 2001). This latest update installs a script blocking component that prevents the programs listed at the beginning of this article from shutting down properly. RESOLUTION Disable Script Blocking in the Norton Antivirus 2001 program. To disable Script Blocking, use the method appropriate for your version of Norton Antivirus. NOTE: Disabling Script Blocking reduces the coverage of your antivirus software. Microsoft suggests that you perform these steps only when you are running one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, and re-enable Script Blocking when you are done using the product. Norton Antivirus 2001 included with Norton SystemWorks 2001 Click Start, and then click Norton SystemWorks Click Options, and select Norton Antivirus. On the left side, under System, select Script Blocking. On the right side, click to clear the Enable Script Blocking check box. Click OK. Exit Norton SystemWorks. Norton Antivirus 2001 (Stand alone product) Open Norton Antivirus. On the left side, under System, select Script Blocking. On the right side, click to clear the Enable Script Blocking check box. Click OK. Exit Norton Antivirus. |
